Rubicon Global Volunteers Clean Up More Than Four Tons Of Trash From The Chattahoochee River Area

Atlanta, GA (April 10, 2019) — Rubicon Global, a technology company that powers a digital marketplace, provides a suite of SaaS products for waste, recycling, and smart city solutions, and collects and analyzes data for businesses and governments worldwide, today announced that nearly a dozen of its employees helped clean up more than four tons of garbage and waste at the annual Chattahoochee River cleanup event this past weekend.

“Sweep the Hooch” is an annual one-day volunteer activity organized by the non-profit Chattahoochee RiverKeeper, where businesses from across the Atlanta community come together to clean up 46 different locations throughout the Chattahoochee River basin, dramatically improving the natural health of the watershed, of which more than five million people depend for clean water.

Rubicon’s hauling partner in this effort was RainTree Waste, a metro-Atlanta waste and recycling collection company. Working with RainTree Waste, the team at Rubicon® had two 20-yard open top containers placed at two different cleanup locations near the Chattahoochee River: Zonolite Park and Powers Island Park.

Rubicon Global, with a company mission to end waste, was also an official sponsor of the cleanup event, donating under the River Patron category.
