Vice President of Sustainability
David Rachelson is Rubicon Global’s Vice President of Sustainability, spearheading Rubicon’s sustainability efforts focused on diverting waste from landfills and developing innovative circular economy solutions. In 2017, he represented Rubicon at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where the company received the prestigious Circular Economy Digital Disruptor Award.
Prior to joining Rubicon, Rachelson worked as a management consultant with PwC, and was a member of the Corporate Responsibility & Public Affairs department at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), where he supported the development of IHG’s Green Engage platform that provides hotel operators with tailored and cost-effective sustainability solutions. Earlier in his career, Rachelson worked in a variety of public sector capacities including at the White House Office of Political Affairs and the U.S. Department of State, where he engaged in management and reform efforts at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.
Rachelson earned an M.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a B.A. from George Washington University. He is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Advisory Board of the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business.
