General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Rubicon, Medintz is responsible for advising Rubicon’s executive team and board of directors on all legal and regulatory matters, focusing on mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, securities regulation, corporate transactions, venture capital, antitrust, litigation, intellectual property, and labor & employment.
Medintz brings nearly 20 years of experience in leading legal teams across global companies, partnering with senior leaders to achieve their business’s goals and objectives.
Before joining Rubicon, he was the senior vice president, general counsel and company secretary of the global Information Management company, Recall Holdings Limited (ASX: REC). He was instrumental in taking Recall public in 2013 and in the 2016 $2.6 billion acquisition of Recall by its largest competitor, Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM). Prior to Recall, Medintz was senior legal counsel at Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MSI) and served on the team that took Motorola’s mobile phone business public in 2011. Medintz also worked for The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) as trademark licensing counsel and he began his legal career as a litigation associate in the Washington, DC office of Perkins Coie LLP.
Medintz earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and a Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University School of Law where he was elected to the Order of Barristers. He is a member of the Georgia, Illinois, and District of Columbia Bar Associations.
